La Pastorella

A fantastic hideaway above the sea, with a killer view and lovely service from the German owner and her local team. The rooms are spacious and tastefully designed, and breakfast is great. Some evenings there's tea, cocktails, and an original Calabrese dinner with local wine. A place to be.

We felt comfortable right away and had a lovely, relaxing time. Gina, Mauro, Angela, and Claudia are perfect hosts, and the hotel is beautiful and stylish. The Italian food is simply perfect. With the sea close by and such lovely scenery for hiking or relaxing, there is plenty to enjoy. After experiencing Calabria this way, we have to come back.

The terrace is a lovely spot for breakfast or a relaxed sunset meal with good wine, looking out over the sea. The food was fresh, local, and skillfully prepared, and evenings there with music felt especially magical. The rooms are exceptionally beautiful, with careful attention to detail. We felt the special atmosphere as soon as we arrived: Claudia and her wonderful team put their hearts into making guests feel welcome and cared for, and they see to every wish. There's a small pool for daytime lounging, gorgeous beaches nearby, and charming villages worth visiting. Thanks to the whole La Pastorella team for such a wonderful stay. We'll definitely be back!

We spent 4 nights in this idyllic spot and had a lovely stay. Our room was thoughtfully furnished, with a wonderful view from the balcony, and breakfast left us wanting nothing. The talented cook made incredibly delicious, varied dinners and also accommodated special requests, including vegetarian meals and allergies. The hosts were warm and made us feel welcome throughout, and the atmosphere was personal and family-like. There’s plenty to see nearby, the beach isn’t far, and Pollino is beautiful for hiking. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for peace, relaxation, and nature.
