Hotel Punta Scario

We spent five nights here, and the views from the rooms, restaurant, and upper terrace were extraordinary. The food was out of this world, and the staff were so lovely. The whole place has recently been renovated with great taste. The best place to stay in Malfa, breathtaking in every way.

Our favorite way to end the day was a sunset drink on the rooftop terrace, followed by a relaxed meal in Punta Scario Hotel's own restaurant. The hotel staff were attentive and kind from the moment we arrived, and their tips for boat tours, eco-gastronomic experiences, and restaurants off the beaten path were spot on. The hotel's real luxury is its peaceful atmosphere and unbeatable spot above Spiaggia dello Scario, not extravagance. It's a small, charming retreat with authentic Italian character and understated elegance. Highly recommended for heartfelt hospitality in the Aeolian Islands.

The food was a huge letdown for such a beautiful hotel and view. My so-called Tuna Wallington was cold and like cardboard, with undercooked dough and overcooked tuna that was grey and cardboard-textured. My wife's Noodle gratin tasted reheated, like microwave food. Honestly, it was disgusting. I wouldn't recommend eating here.

We came for lunch and found an incredible spot with amazing food. We also paid to spend the afternoon by the beautiful infinity pool. A great place in Malfa.
