Albergo Bencidormi

My only regret is not booking a longer stay. The host was such a kind gentleman and the service went above and beyond. The bedroom was immaculate, with a really comfortable bed. It was small but cozy, and the separate bathroom was small too, though clean. Hot water is limited, just so you know, but it wasn’t a problem for me. The location makes it easy to reach Florence center and the station. There’s coffee and tea available all day, plus a little fridge in the room. I stayed in a range of places while traveling Italy, and this was my favorite. Grazie mille, Roberto! I’ll definitely plan to come back.

We could walk to cafes, restaurants, shops, and the market in just a short time. The host greeted us warmly and gave us excellent tips for seeing the city. The room was on the small side, but comfortable, clean, and well cared for. It’s also an easy walk from the station and close to most of Florence’s tourist spots.

The location was just right, on a quiet street less than a 10-minute walk from the Duomo and around the corner from Firenze Santa Maria Novella station, with trains to Venice and Rome. Roberto was so friendly, helped with our luggage, and shared a map and recommendations. The room was beautifully decorated, and the bed was comfy. Good shutters kept out noise and light, and we could help ourselves to tea and coffee whenever we wanted. The rooms are quite small, so probably best for short stays, and we couldn’t get the AC to work.

Roberto made sure we had what we needed, suggested a place for a great Florentine steak dinner, pointed out key sights, and even carried our luggage and saw us off. Such a great host! The room and bathroom were very clean, and the beds were comfortable. My mom, my husband, and I had a wonderful two-night stay at Hotel Bencidormi while exploring Florence this week. It’s close to the train station and Duomo. We’ll recommend it to family and friends and would stay again on our next visit.
