Mario was very helpful, waited for us even though check-in had got a bit late, and gave us lots of suggestions and directions for the area. The room was exceptionally clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the garden is lovely. It seems like a great place to enjoy in summer. The farmhouse is in a peaceful spot among the Maremma hills, without feeling isolated: Saturnia and Pitigliano are about 20 minutes away, and Orbetello and Argentario around half an hour. I used a smartbox and paid for an extra night, which seemed very fairly priced. I’d just suggest offering a bit more variety at breakfast. Everything else was perfect.

The location is handy for the area’s main sights, and the place is quiet and clean, a good choice if you want a break from city life. The breakfast really let it down, though. For €4 each, we got practically nothing: a slice of packaged tart, a piece of the owner’s cake that wasn’t anything special, and a tiny moka pot coffee. It needs rethinking, which is a shame because it takes away from everything else.

A welcoming farmhouse on a hill, with a simple, rustic feel and everything clean and well looked after. Breakfast was delicious and wholesome, with homemade cakes and jams. If you’re after a little peace in the quiet Tuscan countryside, away from city chaos, this is just the place. Highly recommended.

Mario is friendly and helpful, and the country house is in a beautiful spot, furnished with good taste. If you want to relax without any frills, this works well as a base for exploring the Maremma.
