Il Poggio di Teo

Il Poggio Di Teo is in a wonderfully quiet countryside spot, just a five-minute drive from Manciano village. The staff were great, including Alessia and Antoniella, who were warm, helpful, and happy to offer advice or bring us afternoon tea and cakes when we fancied some. Sarah gave us outstanding massages, and we enjoyed the little spa. The chefs Nutsarello and the other chef were both excellent, and we especially liked the Valentine’s Day degustation menu. Our room was basic but clean. We had an apartment with a basic kitchen, so we could cook and try some local ingredients ourselves.

The hotel views are breathtaking, and the service was amazing. I can’t recommend it enough. The pasta is handmade and the produce is fresh, so be sure to have dinner at the restaurant if you stay. The food was the best Italian food I’ve ever had. I accidentally booked for the wrong day, but Alexa, the host, helped me change it and was attentive throughout our stay. Manuel was a great server at dinner.

We spent two nights in the olivo room, which was clean, cozy, and tastefully decorated. The setting is lovely, full of trees, flowers, and care, and it was completely relaxing. The food was out of this world, made with local ingredients, including produce from Il Poggio di Teo. The staff were caring, incredibly helpful, and clearly proud of what they’ve created. The cheerful cats and chickens were lovely too, especially Nicolas. If you want nature, rest, and amazing food, this place will spoil you.

(2022) As a Malaysian living in Italy and traveling around the country, I couldn’t find fault with this place. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was beautiful, and the surroundings were amazing, with breathtaking views. Even with my special food request, they treated me so warmly, and the food was delicious. The spa was the best I’ve ever been to, very clean and well organized, and we enjoyed it so much. I’d love to come back. It’s not a 2-star place to me, I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Grazie Millie. As we say in Malaysia, Terima Kasih. (2023) We came back! As always, the place surprised us, starting with the joyful welcome from reception. We enjoyed the restaurant so much this time that we stayed two nights and had dinner there both evenings. My goodness, the pasta arrabbiata was the best we’ve eaten in Italy. It sounds simple, but the chef did a great job. The spices and organic tomato were just right. Everything was fantastic, from the first course to the second. Breakfast was great too, with delicious cake, tart, and biscuits, plus amazing eggs and yogurt. As I said before, they feed you very well. This has become our favorite place whenever we visit Saturnia. All the staff are warm, kind, and ready to help.
