We arrived at the apartment to find dirty dishes and food scraps everywhere, an unmade bed with dirty sheets, and used towels scattered on the bathroom floor and in the shower. We could only reach the owner by text. In the end, with nowhere to stay on a Saturday evening in Mantua, we had to go back home. A terrible experience.
