The courtyard was nice, but that was the only real positive. The hallway smelled bad, and it was difficult to air out the room. We’d booked a room advertised with a bed, a fold-out couch and a kitchen. On arrival, we were told there was no bedding for the couch because there were only two of us, and there was no way to get extra linen. The kitchen wasn’t really usable for cooking: there were no towels or dishwashing liquid, very little cutlery and no chopping board. When we raised these problems, the receptionist seemed strangely defensive instead of trying to help. This place did NOT match what was advertised.

The apartments are arranged around a lovely central quad, and the location is lovely too. The building and rooms feel pretty worn out and could use a refresh. There’s also some fun, unusual feature.

Be careful, there’s no reception staff on standby. We were left outside with our bags, waiting.

The Wi-Fi doesn’t work. DO SOMETHING. We couldn’t find anyone at reception for 3 days.

Great place, lots to see and do, and it’s quiet for a city.
