Mattia and Chiara were genuinely kind hosts. Villa Cittadella B&B (Mantua) is close enough to explore on foot or by bike, while still feeling tucked away and peaceful. The 19th-century villa has been tastefully renovated, with understated elegance and thoughtful details. The rooms and shared areas mix historic character with modern comfort, and everything felt warm and clean. It’s a splendid period residence just steps from Mantua's historic center, and my stay there is one I’ll always cherish.

The room was fully equipped and very clean. The tracks are right beside the property, which may not suit everyone, but the trains passing by didn’t bother us. There’s a lovely riverside walk from here that goes straight into the city. I’d definitely recommend it.

Chiara, the owner, was welcoming and professional, and I had a very positive stay under the new management. My room was on an upper floor, with a small glimpse of the lake. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well kept, and the prices are fair. I’ll be back and recommend it.
