Il Magnifico Elba Resort

The pool was inviting, and the place was quiet, with parking and a really good breakfast. We stayed as a couple with our two children and found the deal affordable. The owner was very nice and the service was excellent. I’d definitely return.

We were here for two weeks, and aside from a few minor issues, had a really nice stay. The reception team were especially welcoming, and the staff had plenty of suggestions and could find a good solution whenever we needed one. Our room was okay for furnishings, with a modern, very good bathroom and air conditioning that kept it comfortable. The outdoor pool was clean and had two sections. I liked it, but the indoor pool was even better since it was usually empty and we could often have it to ourselves. There’s a gym at the hotel too. The beach is a 7-8 minute walk, with restaurants by the harbor nearby, and a supermarket is five minutes away. There are lovely beaches in the neighboring town as well. Breakfast wasn’t huge, but it was tasty: sausage, cheese, bread, tea, coffee, fruit, vegetables, homemade juices and hummus. The women serving breakfast were friendly and quick. I did miss having dinner available at the hotel. Some evenings it would have been more relaxing to eat on site. Still, the pools, breakfast, and friendly service made us happy to come back. The beach and city center are both just a five minute walk away, and the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed all the pools, and our room was clean with a balcony large enough for towels and a glass of wine. The old mini-fridge barely kept things cool, which was inconvenient in summer. Breakfast leans mostly sweet, though there are a few packaged gluten-free items. Staff-made espressos were nice, but could take a while.

The director takes personal care of the hotel and even stays up late to make sure guests get back safely. The service was fantastic, and the pools, breakfast, and room cleaning were all top class. It’s also in a very good location. My two boys and I had a fantastic time. Grazie, Family Gadner
