Residence Martina

We spent a week at Residence Martina with our little girl, and it was just right for a relaxing few days away from the city bustle. The owners were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and our apartment was lovely, with every comfort. We’d highly recommend it and will definitely return.

Gina, the owner, is such a fun person, so keep an eye out for her! We had a lovely family holiday in Cilento, staying in this place. The apartments are attractive and have what you need, including verandas for outdoor meals, and the parking is convenient. Don’t focus on how far it is from the sea; enjoy the peace and quiet. The sea is only a five-minute drive away, at an affiliated beach with private parking.

The kitchen gear was new and in perfect shape, and Mrs. Luigia was very kind and helpful. The place is beautiful, spotless, and carefully looked after, with new furnishings. The mattresses and pillows were excellent too, something that’s hard to find in vacation rentals.

We paid the deposit and arrived at 1 PM, but the house still wasn’t ready. After a full 12 hours of travel, they left us waiting on a bench in the sun. Is that professional? The residence is up on a hill, not 900 meters from the sea as claimed on the website. There’s no air conditioning, a mountain in front and the sea behind, and we were stuck in a hollow with no breeze. Since we had a small dog, we’d asked for a private garden. What we got was a 1m x 1m patch of dirt with no grass and cockroaches. You can only reach the sea by car, via 3/4 km of very narrow, bumpy, steep roads. The price included beach access and parking, but the lido only has about 10 spaces. The parking attendant asked how long we’d leave the car and, when we said we were from Martina residence, told us parking wasn’t guaranteed. If no space opened up, we’d have to leave the car double-parked with the keys inside so the lido attendant could move it if a spot became available. Some service! We literally ran away. I hope this review keeps other families from being taken in.
