The food was good, and the staff were amazing! It’s a family-friendly place.

The property is green and well looked after, and my room and bathroom were spacious. Still, for its small size, the resort didn’t feel exceptional. I’m writing because the glowing reviews set expectations very high. Credit to the owners for creating a sense of harmony that clearly stays with many guests, but my experience was different. Although it’s close to town, the resort is isolated beside a main road and isn’t walkable to the center. The beach shuttle, for a ride of only about 4 minutes, ran at least every half hour starting at 9:00 AM. The partner beach was the most crowded in Camerota, chaotic, and run by the least friendly owners I’ve met. It didn’t suit children or anyone looking for quiet. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable. On the second day I had to insist on getting it changed, and the replacement was a French mattress that wasn’t very comfortable either, especially with a child. The three of us ended up sharing it for part of each night for a week. In the evenings there was meant to be a shuttle to the town center every half hour, but it often couldn’t run because traffic or police blocked the road. That left us walking into town along the unlit main road. I also thought the price was very high for what was offered. I’ve been coming to Camerota for years, and its prices don’t seem backed by adequate services. After the holiday, I still wonder how the standardized score can be so high. Expectations and prices are clearly high. I’ve given 4 stars, no less, out of respect for the owners and staff, and so the algorithm won’t change the rating. But I think someone should give an objective account.

The food is a real highlight, we ate wonderfully. We’re staying here now, and signora Stefania has made us feel so welcome. The village is clean and very peaceful, especially nice for people with small children. Everyone has been kind, from reception to the dining room staff, and the shuttle service has been attentive and helpful. You can walk to the sea and to the little village, which is lovely. We’d absolutely recommend a holiday here. Cilento works for people who love the sea as well as those who prefer the mountains. The entertainment team is around, but never intrusive.
