Borgo Sant'Apollinare

The bike tour and wine tasting were a real highlight, and everything was so well organized. We also loved the food and drinks, especially the delicious Limoncello. The resort is surrounded by nature and has stunning views, with a pool area that felt like a dream. We spent four days at Borgo Sant’Apollinare celebrating friends’ 10th anniversary. From arrival, everyone was warm and welcoming. The staff were always smiling and ready to help, from early morning until late at night, and the kind owner’s personal care made the stay even more special. It was a peaceful escape from city life, and they made the celebration feel magical. We wholeheartedly recommend it.

The food and wine were excellent, and the friendly staff created a lovely atmosphere. It’s a peaceful spot in Imbria, with beautiful surroundings.

The breakfast was very sparse, with little choice for the room price. Our main problem, though, was the noise from the neighboring room. On the second night, a couple arrived around 11 pm, and we could hear furniture moving, doors slamming, suitcases rolling across the floor, people talking, and even a wine bottle being opened. Around 1 am, we could hear them having sex, and it happened again in the morning. The next day we had to check out. When we told the host, he said he’d never had complaints about that room and that he and a colleague had slept in those rooms to check the noise, without hearing each other. In our experience, there was no sound isolation at all. It was one of the noisiest rooms I’ve ever booked. We booked for a weekend. The host was friendly and helpful when we arrived Friday, and the hotel has a nice layout and view. Our room looked over the pool and hill and was above the kitchen and restaurant, but we didn’t hear any noise from them. The first night was quiet because the adjacent room was empty. I did wonder why there were earplugs in the room, since I’ve stayed at many hotels with pools and never been given any. The second night made that clear.

The location was great, and we’re looking forward to coming back. The staff were happy to help with anything. Special thanks to Michele, who went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after.
