When I have consulting appointments nearby in the morning, I make a point of starting from Grosseto so I can have breakfast there. I get a good coffee, a little sparkling water, and a piece of cake made by them, or rather by the grandmother. Her cakes are out of this world, especially the sbriciolata and the fruit cake with caramelized plums. Divine. I've had lunch there a few times too. The food is simple, with no fancy flourishes, but tasty and, above all, honest, like the women who serve it. I haven't stayed there.

It's a good spot, with clean, comfortable accommodation if you're not too demanding. Very handy as a vacation rental, since it's close to the sea at Follonica. It's a shame the bar and restaurant close at 7:00 PM, so dinner isn't available there.

Bruno and Marco, their wives, and their professionalism are a real pleasure. Let yourself be charmed by them.
