A lovely, peaceful place to stay in Massa Marittima. It’s near the main square without being right in the middle of it, and the bus stop for Follonica is very close. The Museum of Arte Sacra is directly opposite.

The staff were very friendly, breakfast was very good with real coffee, and parking near the hotel is free. The hotel and town are both beautiful, with a clean pool, a large garden, and very spacious rooms that even have kitchens. The only downside is the uphill location: you have to walk down to the old town, then climb back up.

The hosts were very welcoming, and the hotel is clean and quiet, with really large rooms, a swimming pool, and a lovely garden behind the house. It isn’t cheap, but I think the price is worth it. If I had to pick faults, the room design feels a little old-fashioned, from the furniture to the curtains. There also isn’t a restaurant, and there aren’t many places to visit around Massa Marittima itself.

We spent a “long” weekend here and had a great time. The place was quiet but still within walking distance of restaurants and bars, and the space was excellent and clean. A real bonus was the free garage for our motorbike.
