The owner Nikola was really friendly, and communication on WhatsApp was quick. We had breakfast each morning with coffee, juice, crisps, croissants, and yoghurts. Our warm, clean room with its own bathroom was very comfortable for a two-night stay. It’s an easy 10-minute walk to the old city, and the price was reasonable. I can honestly recommend it.

The owner was great to talk with and gave us really useful tips. We booked because the property is just steps from the Sassi of Matera. The room was perfect, with a large bathroom, and the kitchen is shared with other guests. Breakfast was rich and plentiful, and the owner arranges the breakfast times so each guest can enjoy it alone. Highly recommended!

Casa Cristallo is just a short walk from the heart of the Sassi. The place is clean, warm, and welcoming, and in the morning there’s fresh, fragrant food for breakfast. A special thank you to Mr. Nicola, whose kind, generous spirit really comes through in the way he welcomes guests. Thank you so much to the whole family for our stay.
