B&B La Dolce Notte

The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, and the room was modern, spotless, and finished with great attention to detail. Breakfast is included through a nearby café, where there was a broad choice of sweet and savory food and friendly staff. Parking is convenient. You'll need a car, since the Sassi of Matera is about 2.5-3 km away. I've already suggested this place to friends planning a visit.

I stayed three nights in late December 2018. Sara welcomed us into a warm, pleasantly scented room and gave us a map of Matera with lots of helpful information. The B&B is a bit far from the center, so a car is recommended. The room had a large TV, fridge, coffee maker, kettle, and food like jam, toast, biscuits, and Nutella. The bathroom came with a washing machine, two freestanding hair dryers, towels, and plenty of toiletries. The heating worked very well and could be adjusted by us. Breakfast was excellent: Sara brought two croissants and two chocolate muffins on the first day, then two croissants and two pieces of panettone on the second. She also gave us some local tarallini. I'd recommend the B&B.

The room was lovely, spacious, and clean, and we were treated very well during our one-night stay in beautiful Matera. We had a great time and would happily return. Highly recommended.

It was easy to reach Matera's center in a couple of minutes by car, while staying away from the busy middle of town. The B&B was welcoming, spotless, and very comfortable. The woman who runs it was kind and helpful, which made the stay even better. Highly recommended.
