Breakfast on the terrace, looking over the old town, was a real treat. The B&B is right in the center of Matera’s old town, and the service is very friendly and accommodating. We also enjoyed a glass of wine on the rooftop at sunset. There’s plenty to fill a day just wandering around the city, and hiking through the canyon was a pleasure, especially when we left the beaten path. We visited nearby Gravina and Castle di Monte as well.

Giuseppe gave us useful advice on parking, restaurants, and tours, and made us a lovely breakfast on the terrace, with a freshly baked croissant filled with pistacchio cream. The view of Matera was beautiful. The B&B is well placed for visiting the Sassi, and I’d definitely return.

The rooftop terrace really stands out. It’s a lovely spot for breakfast, or for a pizza or aperitivo in the evening. A very nice B&B.

Giuseppe met us in the square and helped carry our luggage, and he and his wife made us feel very welcome. Breakfast is served on the terrace, where the views are amazing. We really enjoyed it, especially the delicious homemade cake. Definitely recommend.

Giuseppe took great care of us and made us feel very welcome. Everything was spot on, and he was attentive to what we needed. I’d recommend this place and stay again without hesitation 👍
