The room was very clean and comfortable, with water, coffee, and tea always available. There’s a beautiful panoramic view from the heart of the old town, and the bus stop is just a minute away. Our host was incredibly kind and helpful, explained everything clearly, gave us a city map, and even offered free early check-in. You can tell they really care about their guests. Great experience at the house in Matera, totally recommended!

The host was friendly and welcoming, with good communication on WhatsApp and a personal handover of the keys. Breakfast was Italian style, cappuccino and brioche, at a quiet, cozy gelateria and bar around the corner. Everything in my room was very clean and quiet, including the bathroom, and it had a comfortable bed, fridge, and coffee machine. The room was built in the typical arched style and had every comfort, though it had no window, which can happen with this kind of construction. I chose Sassolino Dimora Stoica for its central location, so I wouldn’t have to haul luggage up or down alleys. Arriving by motorbike, it was especially convenient, with two-wheeler parking just 50m away. There are lots of places to stay overnight in the Sassi of Matera, and I’d book Sassolino Dimora Storica again!!!ino Dimora Storica

Our room was very large and comfortable, decorated in an authentic style, with an amazing view. It’s in the best area of Matera. Absolutely fantastic, and we’ll definitely come back!
