Everything from check-in through check-out went smoothly. The staff were professional and courteous, and they paid real attention to what guests needed. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean, with everything working as it should and clear care taken over the details. It was also peaceful and felt well managed and safe. I’d gladly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for quality accommodation and good hospitality.

Breakfast on the patio, with coffee and that spectacular view over Matera, was one of our favorite parts. My mom and I stayed at Lo Stemma this summer, and the room was beautiful and the location outstanding. The staff were lovely, especially Camila, who was so kind, helpful, and sweet. Her restaurant recommendations were great, and she made our stay feel extra special. Thanks, Lo Stemma :)

On the last morning of an otherwise nice stay at Lo Stemma Luxury Boutique hotel in Matera, Italy, from sept. 2-4. 2025, my wife was hurt when the glass sliding shower door shattered. She had just showered and tried to open it. The door seemed to weigh several tens of kilograms, came out of its sliding mechanism with a huge bang, broke apart, and sent glass across the floor, cutting her feet. It was an extremely traumatic experience for her. We expected shower doors in a luxury hotel to be safe, but this one wasn't. It seems likely that similar doors are used in all the rooms. The hotel should not be able to keep operating with shower doors that don't ensure customers' safety. At checkout, we asked for part of our stay to be compensated. They made no promise then, but said they'd get back to us. We still haven't heard from them, and it feels like they're trying to silence the matter. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

The room was comfortable, clean, and just what we needed. The man at reception was especially kind and professional, and did his best to make our visit a good one. We felt very welcome. Highly recommended.

Breakfast really stood out: it was fresh and delicious, with a broad selection of local specialties and flavors from the region. The staff were warm and attentive, and went out of their way to get the details right. The hotel is right in the heart of Matera, with lovely views of the historic surroundings, and our immaculate room mixed modern comfort with the character of the old setting. It was an unforgettable stay, worth every penny.
