We had a wonderful time. Restaurants and shops right outside the main door made the location ideal. The outdoor patio was the best part, with a fantastic view of Materra, especially in the evening when the old buildings were lit up. We were even lucky enough to hear a saxophone player performing beautiful music right below us.

Please stay away from this apartment. The air conditioning and fan weren’t working, and the place was completely unhygienic. Spend a little more and stay somewhere else.

The view of Matera from the apartment is truly excellent. The rest was disappointing: it seemed quite dirty, and the sheets had lots of blood stains. One stain might slip through, but a dozen or so is hard to overlook. The owner handled self-check-in without checking that the identity card I showed matched. I remember that this has been illegal since 2025.

Tea made us feel so welcome, always being kind and ready to help. We had a lovely few quiet days here, and the location was just right for relaxing. The house itself is beautiful, spotless, very well looked after, and has everything you need to feel at home. We’d happily come back. Highly recommend!

That terrace looking out over the Sassi was the best part of the apartment. It’s right in the middle of Matera’s historic center, and inside there’s plenty of space with distinctive furnishings. The owner was lovely and shared great suggestions for places to visit and eat.
