Vicolo Fiore Affittacamere

We appreciated how the host sent all the useful details well ahead of time through WhatsApp and the booking platform. Breakfast is served at a nearby cafe, which gives you a taste of the local atmosphere. We chose the Deluxe Apartment, and it worked very well for our family with two children. It’s on the ground floor, with two rooms, one of which has an entrance and kitchenette, plus a bathroom. It had what we needed and was clean and comfortable. The location is excellent, close to parking and right by the center. It takes just two minutes to reach the first view of the Sassi. Thanks for making our visit to Matera even better. I’d choose it again.

We had a lovely stay in a double room that shared a terrace and kitchen with another room. It was clean, well equipped, and check-in was easy. The sights and restaurants in Matera are a short walk away, while driving here and finding parking nearby was straightforward.

The city is beautiful, and the location was excellent. We were very happy with the lovely room and with the hosts, who were absolutely great.

We only found out the air conditioning was broken after we entered the room, which was extremely hot. We gave it an hour to cool down, then messaged the property. It took two hours of trying to convince them something was wrong before they sent someone over, who confirmed the unit was broken. It was the hottest week of the year, and there was no way we could sleep in that room. They said they couldn’t do anything and wouldn’t refund us. We booked somewhere else so we wouldn’t have to sleep in an oven, and lost 84 euros. The whole time, they treated it like it was our fault. Honestly, it was a horrible way to treat customers and the worst experience we’ve had in Italy so far.
