There are apartments in different sizes and styles, though some aren’t available to rent. It’s a very strategic base in the middle of Val di Fassa, away from the traffic down in the valley. There aren’t services in the building, and you have to go a little way for shopping.
The apartments inside can be beautiful and comfortable, with lovely mountain and greenery views. The buildings look a bit unlike the usual Alpine style, but there’s lots of green space around them and parking is always available. It’s peaceful here, away from the crowds of a busy tourist town, while still being central in Val di Fassa. Getting to nearby villages, cable cars, and trails is easy.
The caretaker deserves a mention. He was genuinely kind and helpful, even when he wasn’t on duty. The place is a massive concrete building, though its shape and position among the trees make it less noticeable. Our apartment used to be shops, and was a little dark, partly because of a huge awning that does a great job keeping out rain. Inside it was simple and practical, with what we needed for a quiet holiday: a large bathroom, dishwasher, washing machine, heater, dehumidifier, hairdryer, curling iron, microwave, oven, and induction hob.
The apartments inside are lovely, with breathtaking views. The outside can give you a psychiatric hospital kind of impression when you first arrive, but it doesn’t reflect what’s inside.
