We had breakfast both mornings at the attached Lichtenturm Kaffehaus, and it was excellent. The owners were very friendly, and the restored historic estate is beautiful. Our suite was roomy and comfortable, with a lovely blend of old details and modern design. It’s centrally located but still quiet at night. We stayed two nights as a family and wished we’d booked longer. A few days here would be easy to recommend.

Breakfast was wonderful, and we really appreciated the personal, kind touch. Andrea and Johannes, thank you so much for creating such a beautiful, distinctive place. Our Josef Suite shows how well the old and new elements work together. We’ll be back soon, and can happily recommend the hotel for breakfast, aperitifs, or an overnight stay.

The café breakfast was offered as a €15 voucher, so a second coffee or juice cost extra. That was unexpected after booking through Booking.com with “breakfast included,” and it didn’t match what we understood that to mean. Bike storage was another frustration: cars get free underground parking, while cyclists must pay to leave bikes in the ski depot or keep them on the street. The building itself is a charmingly renovated historic property, with stylish rooms and a strong boutique hotel feel. The design and atmosphere are clearly a priority. But the website photos, especially the garden, suggest a peaceful oasis, whereas the hotel sits right beside a busy two-lane main road. Traffic could be heard with the windows shut, rush hour started around 6:00 a.m., and passing trucks sometimes made the room vibrate. Light sleepers, or anyone who likes an open window, should know that. We came away with mixed feelings. It’s a beautiful place with plenty of charm and upscale ambitions, but some of the rules felt petty and didn’t fit the premium image. The website could also leave you expecting a quieter stay than you get.

Breakfast the next morning was fresh, varied, and excellent. The Törggele meal was just as good, with authentic, high-quality South Tyrolean food and very attentive service. During our visit to Ansitz Thierburg in Merano, we also toured the suite. Its design thoughtfully combines historic charm with modern comfort, and everything was impeccably maintained with care given to the details. The professional service, quality, and special atmosphere made for a thoroughly harmonious experience. I highly recommend Ansitz Thierburg.
