Check-in by email was easy, and the numeric code meant we could get into the apartment without keys or other devices. Our apartment was clean, and both the sofa bed and kitchen were quite comfortable. It’s just a short walk from the center and close to several parking lots. Replies to our email questions were quick and courteous. We had a good stay and would recommend it, especially if you just need a place to sleep without hotel extras.

The bed was terribly uncomfortable, and there was dust on the hood and accessories, so cleanliness could have been better. The air conditioning was very loud, with a constant creaking noise like a deep fryer. After 11 p.m., someone came into the entrance hallway and left the door open. I assume and hope it was the owner working downstairs, since we heard noises. There were also two days of chaos from construction work, which surely wasn't a sudden development, and I don't think that's right. The apartment was recently renovated and in an excellent central location, great if you're on foot, but awkward if you're driving because there's no parking nearby. Next time we'll stay in a hotel.

The top-floor apartment had a sensational 360-degree view over Merano, and the location right in the middle of the city was perfect. Parking in the garage is €17 per day. Be sure to register separately at the cashier, or it gets expensive.
