A memorable part of our stay was the forest lake inside the deer enclosure. The Grumserhof also has a lovely family atmosphere, and you can tell the farm is run with real dedication. It sits among apple orchards near Merano and several hiking trails. The mountain setting kept summer temperatures pleasant, unlike the hotter city valley. We’d be very happy to return.

We felt right at home at Grumser Hof and would gladly return. The whole family was personable and helpful, and the hostess was especially friendly and ready to help with anything. It’s high in the mountains, quiet, and close to Merano. The bus stop for town is almost at the door, with a 10-15 minute ride. Nature and an apple orchard are right outside. The modern, attractive apartments were spotless and had everything we needed. The bread roll delivery was especially handy in such a rural spot. 😄 FE and NCP

We loved our stay at the Grumserhof and would highly recommend it for a vacation in Merano. The setting is calm, just above town, with a bus stop nearby for hikes and outings. The South Tyrol Guest Pass is provided to guests on arrival, and we could park our car under cover at the house. Our apartment was tastefully furnished, and fresh, delicious bread was delivered each morning. The host family were consistently friendly. A special outing was walking through the small deer and roe deer enclosure to the private forest lake, where you can swim. For a relaxing break among apple orchards with mountain views, this place is a real gem.

We’ve been returning for several years and always enjoy our stays. The apartments are all tastefully decorated and spotless, and the hosts are attentive and very friendly. It’s a lovely, quiet place to relax, with a bus stop close by.
