Hotel Garni Lux

Roberta was incredibly nice, friendly, and helpful. Grazie Roberta! The hotel has an old-fashioned feel that suits the Merano experience, and everything was exceptionally clean. The rooms are comfortable, with a wonderful private balcony. The view is spectacular, and it’s well located, just a short walk to downtown and very close to the train station.

The location worked really well for us, close enough to the city centre and the main train and bus stations. The view was spectacular, and the hostess was genuinely lovely. Our room was basic and could use updating, and breakfast was simple, served at the table. The hotel is on the seventh floor, which made getting in and out difficult with a walker.

We booked Hotel Lux on a Friday evening for the weekend and got a reasonable price. Inside, it has a pretty, old-school chic feel, even though the outside doesn't look like much. Our room was spacious, very clean, and had a balcony; the bathroom was good too, with a bathtub. The owner gave us helpful suggestions for things to do in Merano. I'd recommend it.

We spent three nights here and had a great time. The rooms have been renovated and were clean, with modern bathrooms and air conditioning. Breakfast was delicious and brought to the table, and our hostess was warm and helpful. The building is from the 1950s, so some of the furnishings feel dated, but that adds to its charm.
