We enjoyed the peaceful, private pool and garden, where you could get drinks, and the owners were always friendly and helpful. The restaurant is lovely too, with breakfast and an optional dinner at 7 PM, plenty of dishes and dessert. Our stay was good value, and I’d recommend the hotel. It’s about 1 km from Merano’s shops, restaurants and Terme Merano, and parking and WiFi were great. Our large room and bathroom were cleaned very well each day. From the big balcony we had a beautiful mountain view, though the balconies sit right beside each other and aren’t very private. Breakfast was enough for us, but could use more variety, especially vegetables and hot food like pancakes or scrambled eggs. There was no refrigerator or air conditioning in the room.

The Brunner Family gave us a very warm welcome, and we had a lovely time in Merano. Our room was nicely decorated and well cared for, while the generous breakfast buffet had everything we wanted. We liked the hotel so much that we’ll book it again on our next Merano holiday. Very friendly, five stars.

I had a confirmed booking but was turned away because I arrived after midnight. The receptionist left me outside for ten minutes, then brusquely said, “It is not possible.” Guests can be delayed for reasons they can’t control, and I believe a hotel should be ready to receive them at any hour. That kind of service and attitude was unacceptable. Sadly, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

The service was excellent. My single room felt very comfortable, with a modern bathroom and a balcony overlooking the mountains.

The services and the hotel itself were fine, but the hostess was inhospitable and really spoiled our visit.
