Hotel Sonnenhof is right along the Sissiweg walking path, about 10 minutes from town one way and 20 minutes from Trautmansdorff Castle the other. We spent a lovely week there in late August and early September. Parking was easy, and coming and going by car made it convenient to explore the area. Our room had plenty of space for us and our luggage, a large bathroom, and a great mountain view. The wellness facilities were excellent, including a beautiful pool, saunas, and a hot tub. We only ate dinner at the hotel once because we wanted to see more of the area, but the meal was so good that we wished we’d had more evenings there. Service and food were excellent, and the price was very reasonable. We hope to return!

The family-run hotel is wonderfully attentive to detail. There’s a lovely restaurant, secure bike storage, and beautifully landscaped grounds. The pool is top quality, and the hot spa pool and sauna area are wonderful.

Everything is very well kept, and the hotel is clean and lovely. The owner is kind and helpful, including with finding lactose-free menu options. There’s a heated pool, an outdoor whirlpool, and a small wellness center. Recommended.
