Villa Masullo

We came as a couple during a difficult situation and needed somewhere to stay in an emergency. The staff were so kind that we quickly felt close to them. The calm atmosphere and their kindness made the stay really good. We'll definitely return! 🤗

Samantha, the owner of Villa Masullo, was incredibly thoughtful and helpful, never pushy, and gave us such a kind welcome even though we arrived after 2:15 without a booking. The villa has three rooms, Red, White, and Blue. We stayed in Blue, which was small but cozy, clean, and tastefully decorated. What a little gem. The lovely common room has a kitchen, fridge, small freezer, breakfast items, fruit, wine, and an espresso machine. There's also a table with four stunning designer chairs. Outside, the covered terrace has a table and chairs, a sofa, armchairs, a coffee table with magazines, and a machine for hot drinks and snacks. Plenty of parking too. Everything we needed was nearby, and we spent five days in a peaceful little oasis. Can't wait to go back! 💖

I booked a night for August 15th to 16th in mid-July, well ahead of time. I first spoke with the property by phone, then booked through WhatsApp and got confirmation for the senior room with an ensuite bathroom and whirlpool tub. In early August, they called to ask whether we would also stay on the 16th. While we discussed that, I told them we'd arrive around 12:00 on the 15th and leave around 10:30 the next morning. Two or three days before our stay, I checked in again about our arrival time and received another booking confirmation. But when my husband and I arrived around 11:30-11:40 on the 15th, a woman seemed surprised and first asked who we were. After I gave my name and said we had a reservation, she looked as though nobody had told her about it, or it had been forgotten. Maybe there was poor organization or communication. She asked us to wait in the garden, not inside, while she dealt with something. Five or six minutes later, she told us there had been a problem with another guest, who I do feel sorry for, but the property needed to sort that out. Our room was occupied, and we could only stay if we shared a bathroom with that guest. We refused to share with strangers, especially since we had booked a room with a hot tub and couldn't use it as planned. We left without making a fuss, out of politeness. The woman did apologize, but this still deserves one star.

The welcome was very friendly, and the apartment was well equipped. It's a lovely villa with blue, white, and red room options, a shared kitchen, and air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms. Breakfast is at a delicious pastry shop that has an arrangement with the villa.
