Antonella was a fantastic host and took care of everything we needed. I was there for work, and the University of Messina was only a five-minute drive away. The setting between the sea and the lake gives the place a unique feel. Our room was a good size, and the bathroom was comfortable and very clean. Breakfast isn’t included in winter, but there’s a coffee machine along with packaged snacks and tarts. I used those for a quick breakfast, which was convenient.

The “Fata Morgana” room was spacious, peaceful, always clean, and had a lovely view. We also had access to the well-kept beach. Evenings were hot, but a nice breeze came through, and the full moon lit up the whole mythical landscape. Between the sea and the lake, it felt enchanting. We were really looked after, with a super breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt, juices, and water available. Thanks, Alessandra, for being so available. See you soon.

The owners were professional, kind, and always ready to help. The views of the Strait of Messina were breathtaking, and the immaculately clean sea was just 40 meters away. We didn’t have any mosquitoes, and the value for money was record-breaking. My son and I felt pampered, and we’ll definitely come back. The room and en suite bathroom were comfortable and carefully cleaned every day. Breakfast was wonderful, with fresh fruit each morning, and cold drinks were available in the fridge 24 hours a day. We’ve lived in Messina for years and come back to see friends, usually staying at hotels nearby. Finding Farau has changed that. The room was cleaned every day, just as in a hotel, and it’ll be our regular place now. The owner was exceptionally kind and ready to help with anything. We stayed in the Fata Morgana attic room with our three children, aged 10, 11, and 13. It was roomy, comfortable, and cool despite the hot weather. The Scilla room on the first floor was smaller but very comfortable, and its little terrace was great for drying beach towels or sitting outside. Both rooms were exceptionally clean, neat, and quiet. Breakfast was plentiful, with cold drinks always available. It’s a great choice for a big family. The place feels like home but has the amenities of a high-end hotel. It’s brand new and very well organized, just steps from the sea in the quaint village of Ganzirri, with all amenities within walking distance. Thank you, and congratulations to the owner.
