The sea-facing breakfast room, with its big windows, was so lovely that I didn’t want to leave. The Strait of Messina, the intensely blue water, and Calabria made for a breathtaking view. Francesco is a wonderful host, attentive to what guests need, and a real artist. The B&B is beautifully furnished, meticulously kept, and very clean. The ferry terminal is nearby, and the tram stops almost outside, taking you quickly into the city center. My room was comfortable, with a welcoming bathroom and an excellent shower. I’d return.

The ferry terminals for Calabria are just steps away, so the location works especially well if you’re arriving in or leaving Sicily. The apartment is very spacious, with a balcony overlooking the Strait of Messina, and the rooms are spotless and tastefully furnished. There are lovely designer pieces, many decorated by the owner himself, who’s a real artist. The host is kind and helpful. This is a great B&B, highly recommended.

I was here for two nights in mid-January 2019, and the spacious bedroom had every comfort. Francesco pays close attention to guests and tries to meet their requests. The breakfast room has a beautiful view. Breakfast could be better, though: the homemade cake was delicious, but I’d swap the packaged croissants and snacks for good local ones, and offer homemade jam instead of store-bought. I recommend it for a short stay.

After seven years away, we came back and were welcomed wonderfully. It was lovely to return. The location is excellent, the rooms are comfortable, and breakfast with that view of the Strait of Messina was exceptional. We’ll be back soon!
