Orchid Corner

I really enjoyed my stay at Yellow Sorrento. The hosts were fantastic and quick to help, and the apartment was roomy, clean, and comfortable. It was also a welcome escape from the 35°C heat outside. Such a warm, intimate place in a beautiful part of Italy.

Max was part of what made our stays even more enjoyable. My wife and I visited Orchid Corner in 2007 and 2008, and the cleanliness and overall experience were beyond what we had at highly rated commercial hotels elsewhere on our trip. We’re thinking of making Orchid Corner the base for our next European vacation.

The kids were very well catered for, with toys to use and a crib in our room with lovely linens and a soft blanket. Tony and Georgia were also a big help with suggestions for places to eat pizza and planning our outings. Try the Tico Tico pizza, it’s to die for! We had three rooms for six adults, a five-year-old and a baby in mid-May 2018, and all of us had a lovely time. This welcoming country-style B&B has thoughtful decor throughout, and each room has its own character. The rooms were spacious and spotless, while the leafy patio felt inviting. Tony cooked a tasty breakfast in the small kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay.

A quick heads-up if you’re driving to Meta: the streets are very narrow and can feel scary at first. The locals are patient with drivers who aren’t used to it, but go for the smallest car you can. The owner was kind and helpful, and Antonini made simple breakfasts that tasted great. The rooms and garden are beautiful, with a relaxed, romantic feel, close to the sea and some good restaurants.
