The reception staff need customer service training. I asked to speak with the manager at checkout, but he wasn’t available. We stay in hotels almost every week, and this was the worst stay of our lives. Our room was near the lift, and all night it felt like we were living inside it because of the noise. A door outside our room also kept banging non stop. If I could give zero stars, I would!

It’s a little out of the way, but I enjoy walking, so that wasn’t a problem, and the value for money was excellent. The hotel’s breakfast was really good, and there’s a small restaurant just outside with truly excellent evening food. After our first visit, we ate there every night. I stayed here in 2023, and the room was great, spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed, an in-room sauna, and an excellent shower. The only snag was that the air conditioning failed on our last night, so we had to move to a smaller room. I’d certainly stay again.

The room was spacious, very clean, nicely fitted out, and looked better than the online pictures. I appreciated the walk-in wardrobe, which let me put my suitcase away and relax. It’s in a pleasant part of town, a bit away from the tourist spots, and the price was great too. A couple of small issues: the sauna control panel lights stayed on all night, which is annoying if you like sleeping in the dark. One night it also took several attempts and a long wait to get in after buzzing. I’d definitely stay again.

The front desk and bar service were great. The stay was very clean and comfortable, though it was a little confusing to work out where to go up to the second floor at reception when we arrived.
