The location made getting around easy, with the metro just a minute away, and we could reach the whole city, including San Siro for the football. We were driving in from the alps, so having secure parking on-site worked perfectly. Our family of five was well accommodated, and the flexible, helpful staff made us feel welcome. The family room setup had two rooms joined by a separate door, so it felt like one big room. The kids also enjoyed the fun lobby, and breakfast was delicious. We had a great stay and would happily come back.

We were a little lost, so the concierge booked a taxi for us. It arrived in less than 4 mins, and he was really helpful.

The room decor looked cheap, so I expected more from a 4-star hotel with a unique theme. When we arrived, the receptionist wanted to keep our passports overnight to register us the next day and told us to collect them in the morning. After ten years of traveling around the globe, I found that hard to accept. We firmly said no and were willing to wait, even if it took a while. He looked openly unhappy and rude, but gave our documents back about 10 minutes later. At midnight, after traveling, we expected better service from a hotel we chose and paid double for instead of a 2-star place. At checkout, they charged us an extra €7/night/person. I’ve stayed in Milan in a similar location before, and I think the tax was lower. They may be charging customers extra, but I might be wrong, sorry. I wouldn’t recommend this place. At over €150 per night, I think you can find a good hotel anywhere in Europe with better service. This next part is personal. I love Italy, and the amazing stories I’ve read about its culture are part of why I wanted to travel here. I want the country to do better than it does now. In my opinion, hospitality in Italy in general is quite bad and very, very rude, unless you go to a top-tier place or spend more than 100 euro in a restaurant. It seemed to me that many people working in hospitality hate their jobs and are being forced to do it, and you can see it on their faces. Go to Japan if you want to learn service lol.

We arrived in Milan for the first time around 3am on Saturday, after traveling Friday night, and got a very unpleasant welcome. At first, the receptionist handed over our room keys without any problem. Then he asked for our ID cards and insisted on keeping them until the next day, since he said opening the system for the new day would take a long time. Those were our only IDs, so we weren’t comfortable handing them over. We offered to let him copy them, but he said that wasn’t allowed by law. He also said we couldn’t finish the process the following day. First he estimated 30 minutes to complete it, then, when we agreed to wait, rudely changed that to an hour. We stayed, and about five minutes later he returned our IDs. That treatment was unacceptable and far from the warm welcome we expected. We complained at checkout and were told to follow up by email with hotel management. We still haven’t received a response.
