B&B El Brumista Due

Everything was just right.

The owner was incredibly kind and went out of his way to sort out any problems. The apartment had everything we needed, including a dishwasher and washing machine, and the roomy kitchen and living area made it feel open. It's right in the Navigli area, with restaurants and the metro nearby, so reaching the city center was easy. The unfinished entrance was a drawback, though the owner was waiting for the parts needed to complete it. I also wasn't keen on the breakfast arrangement: guests get a voucher for a nearby café instead of breakfast prepared on site. That changes what a B&B is supposed to be, and means you have to get dressed and go out. If you're in a hurry, waiting for the café to open isn't ideal. Visitors to this part of Milan should know that Navigli keeps different hours from the rest of the city.

The host was really friendly and thoughtful. He gave us a map and explained what to see in Milan. Breakfast is arranged at a nearby restaurant, which we couldn't use because of our planned excursions, but on our last day he kindly put together a few things for us to take along. The room was spacious, modern, and very clean, with a large, lovely bathroom. There's air conditioning, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, and the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The location in Navigli is great, with bars and restaurants just a few steps away. The car repair shop at the entrance might surprise you when you arrive, but inside you'll find a wonderful place to stay. I wouldn't be overstating things to call it the perfect place in Milan. I'd absolutely stay here again.

Alessandro on the staff was delightful, and the place was new, clean, and well located. The exterior and location can give the wrong impression when you first arrive, but what's inside is quite different. Highly recommended.
