Hotel Flora

The room was very small, just as it looked in the photos. Location-wise, it’s handy: about 150 m from the nearest metro and within walking distance of the central station. The person at the front desk came across a bit rude. They could use some more cheerful faces to welcome guests.

The bed was so hard it felt like sleeping on the floor. If you have shoulder, back, or ankle pain, I’d avoid this hotel. We only stayed one night, but it was the worst sleep of our Italy trip. I travel a lot and rarely leave reviews, but I’m awake now and wanted to mention it. I’m surprised there aren’t more comments about the beds. The room was tiny and reception was below average, though the location is perfect. For good food, head to the food court on the left side of the train station, where there’s dessert too.

The WiFi is superb, and the location is hard to beat. My room was a little small, but fine for me as a solo traveler. The interior and equipment look somewhat dated, though everything worked. I forgot to take a room photo, but I was surprised that the old hairdryer still worked so well, lol 👍

There was no tea or coffee in the room, and when we asked, we were told those weren’t part of the service. We also found no kettle, so we requested one and were handed a broken one. Check-in was unpleasant too: the staff were rude and unwelcoming, especially when we arrived around 10 PM. The service and attitude were very poor, and it really spoiled part of my time in Milan. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
