Altido Amendola Fiera Apartment

Don't stay here, even if the price looks tempting. The room was dirty, and the small extra bed for the third person was broken and unusable. There were no vegetarian choices at breakfast, which made things worse. We couldn't control the AC ourselves because its controls were disabled at the main switchboard. When we asked staff to turn it on, the room became uncomfortably cold. Then, when we requested blankets, they rudely asked, “Why would you turn on the AC if you need a blanket?” They completely ignored that we had no control over it. The poor cleanliness and facilities made the stay unacceptable.

We were comfortable and warm during our two nights here, even in December, because the heater worked well. The room was small, but clean and had its own bathroom, and there were towels. They tidied it the next day. Breakfast was quite nice, especially the Italian coffee made by the receptionist. It's a small, comfortable, economical hotel.

The breakfast was pretty good and the location was okay, so I can give it two stars. But if you want a quiet stay in a tidy room with a comfortable bed, this isn't the place. The walls are paper thin, the AC was broken, and the beds were uncomfortable. The “double” was actually two single mattresses pushed together, leaving a huge gap between them if you were unlucky. There was also stone sediment on the shower head. Even if the price is tempting, you'd be better off paying more for a proper standard.

The receptionist was aggressive and rude when we described our stay. We'd already left this dirty place, which felt more like a bad hostel, the next morning, even though we'd booked two nights. The smell in the room was unbearable. I'll never forget the filthy mattress with no protector and the unclean bathroom. I definitely can't recommend it.
