Hotel Carlo Goldoni

I booked March by mistake instead of February and contacted the hotel right away to try to fix it. They wouldn't work with us. I even tried adding an extra night in February to change the dates, but that cost me more money and still didn't help. At first they answered my calls, then stopped picking up once they understood the problem. I also reached out to Booking.com, whose support team wanted to help but said the decision was entirely the hotel's. Booking contacted them too, and the hotel still refused a refund. It's a shame they seem to care more about a one-time payment than how guests are treated. Carlo Goldoni Hotel's management felt cold and rigid, and the lack of hospitality was deeply disappointing. If you care about customer service or want to be treated with respect and integrity, I don't recommend staying here. Save your money and nerves and choose somewhere that values its guests.

The reception staff were kind and helpful, and they let us leave our bags for the day both before check-in and after check-out. The bags weren't kept in a separate room, but I felt they were safe because there are CCTV cameras throughout. They brought us a kettle when we asked. The location was good, felt safe even at night, and had easy access to transport and the center. Rooms are not very big, but there's enough space, with bedside drawers, a table, and a cupboard with hangers. The heating and air-conditioning worked well. The room and toilet were clean, towels, toilet paper, soap, and shampoo were provided, and staff were cleaning the hallway in the morning. We had a pleasant stay despite some bad reviews on booking. It's a great budget place in Milan.

A comfortable room, friendly and welcoming staff, and a very good location near the subway. I had a really good stay.

It's in a really nice neighborhood, though it can get busy and there's construction work going on right now. You can't hear the work inside because the windows block it out well. The staff were lovely and really helpful. It's a nice place even for just one night, with a comfortable bed that's especially welcome after a long day sightseeing. The rooms are perfect.
