There were two cockroaches by the minibar and a spider on the ceiling. Disgusting. The room was filthy: hair on the bed, stained sheets, and a bathroom that smelled of mold. Nothing seemed to have been cleaned properly. Both mornings we had only ice-cold water, so we left without showering. The AC worked, but they charged extra for it; without it I was sweating all night. When I asked for a fan, they said they didn't have one. When I complained about the cleanliness, the receptionist rolled her eyes and asked, “What do you want me to do about it?” The staff member's behavior was the worst part too, speaking rudely and not answering properly. This was the worst hotel stay of my life. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Never again.

I had already paid €52 before arriving, then was charged another €40 at the hotel, bringing the total to €92. That included a €25 late check-in charge when I arrived around 22:35, even though reception is open 24 hours, plus €15 in city tax for two people. They said that amount included €3.50 city tax and a €3.50 administration fee per person, fees I hadn't seen mentioned before booking. For that price, I could have found somewhere much better. The charges felt completely unfair and not transparent.

The staff were amazing. I'm in Italy for the Winter Olympics and don't speak Italian. The guy checking me in couldn't work out how to say my room number in English, and apologized for not knowing it. He walked us all the way to our room and showed us the number and where it was.

The receptionist was very kind and helpful, and service is available 24/24. The hotel is near the metro, making it easy to get to the center of Milan. Our room and private bathroom were clean. There's also a shared bathroom on the floor, well kept and ventilated by a large window beside the toilet in our quadruple room. Good value for the price and service. I'd recommend it for a low-budget trip or for a group of friends like us.
