Hotel La Pace

The breakfast was included and almost good, with plenty of sweet and dairy foods but no eggs or meat. The bathroom was very small, and the rooms and furniture need renovation. The staff weren’t very polite and made an unsuccessful attempt to charge extra for my child.

The place was clean enough, but the staff seemed to have given up, and it was noisy in the mornings. From 8am, the cleaning lady made as much noise as a marching band, as if no guests were trying to sleep. Breakfast was a pile of shrink-wrapped industrial pastries, the occasional croissant, day-old rolls, and a dispenser of sugary orange liquid that barely passed for juice. Cheap, but definitely not cheerful. If you can’t do cheap and well, don’t do it at all. I won’t stay again.

My reservation was during a peak moment of coronavirus in Mediolan. The hotel told me it was no problem and that I should come, but they wouldn’t refund me or let me change the date. Pathetic.

Good for the price, though we heard a crazy woman at reception screaming during the night.
