Hotel Porpora Suite

Nothing fancy, but it was decent enough for a quick stop on a business trip. Breakfast was okay, neither great nor bad.

We had trouble with the key cards, which often wouldn't open either the room or the hotel entrance. The staff also told us not to eat in our room and to use the dining area instead. We travel a lot, and that hasn't happened to us before, even at 3-star hotels. Breakfast options were quite limited, and the windows were so poorly insulated that we could hear everything outside at night. I can't recommend the hotel for these reasons.

It's a little out of the way, but the hotel is magnificent and has a lovely atmosphere. The room was perfect, and the bedding was ultra comfortable.

I found the low-season prices excellent and generally fair for the quality of the accommodation. The staff were friendly, the breakfasts excellent, and the rooms had good sound insulation with temperature controls that were easy to adjust. The furnishings and fixtures are new, functional, and attractive, especially in the bathroom. It's a very recent building, well placed for Città Studi/Politecnico. There's a lovely little garden you can see through the big lobby windows. Access is by card at any time through the two outside doors, though it's a good idea to test the card straight away.
