I’d rather sleep on the street. Everything was dirty, smelly, falling apart, and disgusting. After we’d paid 90€, the man charged us another 20€ to swap rooms because ours smelled of tobacco. The next room was even worse. When we complained the following day, the old man at reception laughed in my face and said he knew those rooms were worth no more than 10€. I’m giving one star because zero isn’t an option. This was the worst experience of my life. The hotel should be closed because it’s clearly illegal.

The reception was always open, and the sheets and towels were clean. The room and toilet were in poor condition, though, there was no internet, and there was no air con, which was fine since it wasn’t midsummer. We paid a lot because it was Formula weekend, but the stay was really uncomfortable and not worth the price.

The hotel was quiet, and the city centre is 6 bus stops away, about 10 minutes. It’s small, but nice and clean, and the people working there were incredibly kind and helpful. They didn’t speak any English, though, which made our spontaneous check-in quite a challenge. Breakfast cost an extra 10€, with a small, sweet selection, but it was very good. I’d come again.

The night attendant was a very kind man. Getting here from the main station means changing metro lines twice. I ended up booking this one-star hotel out of desperation after a huge delay on the Italian railway wiped out all my connections, including the ones they call “in coincidences” in Italian.
