Hotel Star

The location is the one thing this hotel has going for it. The room smelled musty as soon as I walked in, and the restroom had a constant sewer odor that made me gag each time I went inside. It's tiny, with hardly any space for toiletries, and the toilet had a disgusting yellow stain that wouldn't come off. The room had no ventilation and got so humid and stuffy overnight that I woke up sweaty at 5 am. The old AC barely responds to the temperature control, so I kept switching it on and off and going from hot to cold. The window hardly opens and has no screen, so mosquitoes can get in and buzz around your ears. The safe is tiny too and barely holds anything. I don't understand how this hotel has such high ratings.

The people were super nice and friendly, and the location is the hotel's biggest advantage. The rooms and the hotel itself are very old and not luxurious, but everything was clean and neat. It's good value for money.

The free breakfast was pretty good, and the location is nice. The room is well designed for its size, with simple amenities that cover the basics, including a toothbrush, razor, kettle, and free bottled water. The shower is tiny and has steam, though the outlet is by your feet and can burn them, so let it run a while before stepping in. I was cold at night because the heater is built in behind the desk where you can't reach it. I ended up sleeping in my down vest with a towel around my head. I got a Black Friday discount, but still thought it was a bit overpriced. Apart from those two things, it's a nice hotel.

The room was excellent, with modern lighting and a standing jacuzzi shower. Staff were exceptionally friendly, and breakfast was generous, with eggs, bacon, sausage, cheeses, juices, and more.
