I liked how the areas above the line have been redeveloped. This is one of the stops on Milan’s new M4, and the station itself is clean and new.

The elevator from Strada in Piazza Susa has been out for two weeks, which is disgraceful. Wheelchair users and older people are left struggling and could put themselves and others at risk.

The Susa stop on the blue M4 line, Linate to San Cristoforo, is in excellent shape, as are the stations and stops generally. Staff are efficient, and the timetables are kept up to date. Milan’s metro system is among Europe’s best: fast, efficient and affordable. Between the metro, trams and buses, you can get almost anywhere in the city in just under an hour. Highly recommended.

The metro runs automatically, and of course the station looks modern since it’s new. But there’s no machine here for reactivating an ATM pass, so I have to buy a ticket each time. San Babila has one.
