Hotel Zara Milano

Amedeo at reception made us feel welcome from the start. The hotel is right in the city center, steps from Zara metro station and within walking distance of the Central railway station. We stayed one night, and the rooms were excellent, with a modern bathroom, a coffee machine, and a well-planned living area. Breakfast was great, too. For comfort and value, it's the best place I've stayed so far, and I'll choose it again on my next trip to Milano. A full 10 out of 10.

I honestly feel shaken writing this. My mother and her employees stayed for two days, and the “bartender/chef” treated only us in a way that felt racist. He hid basic breakfast items like eggs, coffee, and bread behind the pantry or counter, ignored us when we asked for an egg or other essentials, then served other customers what they requested right in front of us. The arrogance was unbelievable. We never wanted to make accusations like this, but we couldn't come up with another explanation. I can't believe people in hospitality were acting this way in 2025. The rooms also didn't match the pictures in real life and felt far below what the price suggested. They were drafty, and the sewer smell was so bad I had to open the window to breathe. I caught a slight cold from that. We often come to Milan for design and fashion week and for other business, but I wouldn't recommend this place to colleagues or friends. We're blacklisting the hotel for future company trips, and I'm telling other Mongolian people not to visit. Zero stars. I'll be filing complaints.

We chose this hotel for our last night in Milan after reading the reviews, since it seemed close to the train station. I have asthma and can't tolerate dirty or poorly aired rooms, so we booked a month ahead and asked for the sunniest room they had. Instead, we got a basement room beside the parking lot, with a window looking out at three parked cars. We decided the car noise and fumes, and the tram passing overhead, were manageable. But after lying on the bed for about 15 minutes, we started getting bites on our legs. We found live and dead bed bugs in the mattress we were meant to sleep on. We couldn't stay another night. Thankfully, our previous hotel had a room available.
