The shower only had cold water, the walls were so thin I could hear everything from the neighbors, and I skipped breakfast because the mold smell was unbearable. At first the room smelled strongly of perfume, then once that faded, the whole place reeked of mold. There was visible black mold throughout both the bedroom and bathroom. My eyes burned and itched even with the windows wide open. That's a serious health hazard, not just unpleasant. They charged €40 a night for my two medium-sized dogs, more than a second guest would have cost and more than I've ever paid, even in five-star hotels, despite this being a shabby B&B. I'd said when booking that I was traveling with dogs. After keeping me waiting a long time at check-in, a woman who didn't speak English inspected the dogs in the car, then told me three times through a translator that they had to be quiet, couldn't get on the bed, and that there were cameras everywhere. If you're not really dog-friendly, don't advertise that you are. Even Expedia said it couldn't resolve the issue because the hotel wouldn't cooperate. Totally unacceptable. Avoid at all costs. Dog hair isn't nearly as much of a health threat as black mold all over the room. Maybe the hotel should be paying guests €40 instead.
