Up to Seven

The apartment was really nice and cozy, and the owner was lovely too. I’d stay here again if I get the chance to visit Milan another time.

The owner is there in person and was very friendly and helpful. The room isn’t big, but it’s comfortable and has enough space. You can get into the city easily by train, and the central train station is within walking distance. Excellent place to stay.

The location is very quiet, at the back of the building. Loreto metro station is 300 meters away, the central train station is 900 meters away, and there’s a supermarket about a seven-minute walk from the apartment. It’s very small, with a tiny kitchenette and a fold-out bed that needs to be opened and put away every day. The large window has a roller shutter and opens onto the balcony. The owner lives right next door, sharing the same walk-through balcony. The basics are there: two plates and glasses, a mini-fridge, a dirty microwave, a mini-TV, and air conditioning. There’s a strong water jet at the sink and counter, but the shower water wasn’t very hot. Towels, small bottles of shower gel and shampoo, and water on arrival were provided. Breakfast is a dry, prepacked coffee corner with rusks, instant coffee, several kinds of tea, chocolate, and jam. The Wi-Fi was excellent and fast. But the owner is deceiving travelers by charging €6.30 per person per night in tourist tax, when the official amount in Milan is only €4.50. Incomprehensible. The 3-star rating is a complete mystery too.

For three nights, it felt like having my own little apartment in Milan. The place was clean and tidy, with everything I needed, including towels, bath soap, shampoo, ice water, and Wi-Fi. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the owner was very helpful. It was great for a short trip, with a perfect location and an affordable price. The metro is right next door, and you can get across Milan in about 20 minutes. The main train station is a ten-minute walk away, with a luggage storage place halfway there.
