The room was on the ground floor, tiny, and had no sound insulation at all. I could hear every word and footstep from outside. I stayed about an hour after paying for the room, then offered to pay for that time and leave because I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep. Alessio, the receptionist, dismissed what I was saying, made slight digs at my intelligence, and insisted I was the first person to complain about the noise. That wasn’t true, as I later saw similar complaints in other reviews, but only after I’d left. Talking to him felt deeply uncomfortable. He was miserable to deal with even when I tried to be reasonable and respectful. It felt like a family-run place, because I can’t imagine Alessio getting hired elsewhere with that attitude. Worst “hotel” experience I’ve had so far. Cheap, low-class experience. Avoid it if you can.
