ibis Milano Centro

We really liked having coffee on the terrace, and the hotel was very good value for money. Brera is a 20-minute walk away and Centrale is 10 minutes away. The staff gave us a warm welcome, the rooms were cosy, the bed was soft, and the bathroom was clean. A lovely place for visiting Milano as a couple or family.

Rooms are a little tight but well equipped. The lobby feels lively and welcoming, with musical instruments, and breakfast was good too. The staff were friendly and helpful, and reception helped us call a taxi. The location is excellent for getting to all parts of the city.

I hope the hotel reviews how it handles lost property so this doesn't happen to future guests. I checked out on Friday morning, and within about five minutes I realized I'd left my sunglasses in room 337. They were clearly visible on the central table at the foot of the bed, under the TV. I was confident they'd still be there when I came back to collect my luggage later that day, given this was a world renownedhotel chain in a major Italian city, so I didn't return right away. That was my mistake. At around 16:00, I told reception. They had me wait nearly 30 minutes while checking with housekeeping and lost & found, then said nothing had turned up and asked me to follow up by email. On Monday, I got a reply saying internal checks had been done with housekeeping staff and supervisors, but no sunglasses had been found or reported. The monetary value isn't the main concern. The item disappeared within a very short time after checkout, even though it was left somewhere plainly visible. I came back the same day expecting a straightforward recovery process, but that didn't happen. I know mistakes can happen, but the result leaves questions about how guests' belongings are handled after checkout. I would have expected a more reassuring resolution or some accountability. I stayed at ibis Milano Centro on Friday night and, unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.

People working here are kind and smiley, and the rooms are simple but comfortable, with really clean rooms and perfect linen. It's a great place to stay in Milano: you can walk to the city centre and railway Central Station, and there are two subway lines nearby. Please leave me some rooms, I love it.
