Just Hotel Milano

The location is spot on, about a five-minute walk from the central train station, where you can catch trains, buses, or trams. The rooms were warm and very clean, and the price wasn’t too high for a major city. My wife and I have stayed here twice, and both times the night staff at reception were exceptionally welcoming, helpful, and knew the city really well. I’d rate the hotel excellent.

The metro and train stations are right nearby, so getting into or out of the city is easy. There are also plenty of cafes and restaurants around for coffee or a meal, alongside the hotel’s own breakfast. Our room was comfortable and fairly quiet, and the staff were really friendly. The bathroom looked modern. My shower was a bit worn out, but it was clean. It was just what I expected, and I had a very comfortable stay.

The soundproofing was the worst part of my three-night stay in a ground-floor room. I could hear people next door walking around and packing their bags while I was trying to sleep. When they hung up clothes, it sounded like they were in my room, as if the wardrobe was the only thing between us. The design feels geared toward business travelers. All the walls are tiled, which made the room feel cold and unwelcoming.

The breakfast was awful, and nothing tasted good. Even boiling eggs seemed beyond the chef. Staff wandered around watching everyone like prison guards 😅. Outside the hotel there were lots of strange people, even during the day, and the area didn’t feel good. The rooms were dark and poorly kept. The AC didn’t work, and opening a window brought in the smell of smoke. There weren’t any “do not disturb” signs in the room.
